Publons

Publons is a website that helps people who write academic research papers get recognized for their hard work. Just like when you do a good job on a drawing or a school project and your teacher gives you a gold star, when scientists write really good research papers, they can get recognized for their work too.

But sometimes it's hard for people to know that your research is really good. So that's where Publons comes in. It's a bit like a giant sticker album for scientists! Scientists can list all of the research papers they've written on Publons, and when other people read those papers and think they're really good, they can give the scientist a virtual 'sticker' to show that they did a great job. These stickers are called "reviews," and they help show that the scientist is really good at their job.

Publons also helps make it easier for scientists to get jobs or get promoted at their jobs, because they can point to all of the "stickers" they've earned on Publons as proof that they're really good at writing research papers. So Publons helps scientists get the recognition they deserve, and helps them get ahead in their careers!
