Pulpwood

Pulpwood is a type of wood that is used to make paper products like notebooks, newspapers, and cardboard boxes. Pulpwood is made from trees like pine, spruce, and birch that have been grown specifically for this purpose. These trees are cut down and stripped of their bark and branches until all that remains is the trunk. The trunk is then cut into small pieces called logs which are then brought to a factory called a pulp mill. At the pulp mill, the logs are turned into a mushy substance called pulp by adding chemicals and water to them. This pulp can then be used to make paper products, and sometimes it is colored or treated with chemicals to make it stronger or more durable. Overall, pulpwood is important because it allows us to have paper products that we use every day!
