Purushanda

So, purushanda is a fancy word that describes a really old way of cooking food. It was used a long, long time ago by people who didn't have things like stoves or ovens to cook their food on.

Instead, they would dig a hole in the ground, and put hot rocks or coals in it. Then, they would take some meat or vegetables, wrap it up in leaves, and put it in the hole with the hot rocks. The heat from the rocks would cook the food slowly and make it really delicious.

It's kind of like making a baked potato, but instead of putting it in an oven, you bury it in the ground! It might not be a way we cook food anymore, but it's really interesting to learn about how people in the past used to do things differently.
