Push-button telephone

A push-button telephone is a machine that lets you talk to someone far away by pressing buttons. It's like a toy phone with buttons that you can push to make sounds, but it's much bigger and can connect you to someone else who has a push-button phone.

The buttons on the phone have different numbers on them, from 0 to 9. When you want to make a call, you press the buttons one at a time to make the phone number of the person you want to call. Once you've entered all the numbers, you press one more button to make the phone ring on the other end.

When the person answers the phone, you can talk to them through a little speaker on your phone. They can hear your voice through a microphone built into the phone, and you can hear their voice through the speaker.

The push-button telephone is a very useful machine because it lets people talk to each other even if they are very far away. It's like having a magic rope that connects you to anyone you want to talk to, no matter where they are!
