Q-ship

Q-Ships were secret naval vessels used during World War I and World War II to trick enemy submarines into attacking them. They were designed to look like harmless merchant ships, but once the enemy submarine got close enough, the Q-ship would suddenly reveal its hidden weapons, which included guns and torpedoes.

Think of it like playing a game of "hide and seek" but with ships. The Q-ship is like the person hiding, and the enemy submarine is like the person trying to find them. The Q-ship would wait for the enemy submarine to get close enough and then surprise them with their hidden weapons.

The Q-ships were used as a way to protect other merchant ships and to try and sink enemy submarines. By tricking the submarines into attacking them, the Q-ships were able to disable or sink them, which helped to weaken the enemy forces.
