Quadrifora

Quadrifora is a fancy word that means "having four openings." It's like a special type of doorway or window that has four parts that can open up. Imagine your house has a regular door that swings open and closed, but a quadrifora would have four doors on hinges that you could open up to let in lots of air and light.

Quadriforas were popular in ancient architecture, especially in places like Italy and ancient Rome. They were used to let in light and air, and sometimes acted as a decorative feature on buildings. They're kind of like a really fancy window, but with way more openings.

Even though quadriforas are a cool feature, they are not very common nowadays. Modern buildings typically have regular windows or sliding doors instead. But if you ever see a building with a quadrifora, now you know what it is!
