ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Quantitative analyst

Quantitative analysts, sometimes called "quants," are people who use complex math and statistical formulas to analyze situations, data, and financial markets. They work at banks, hedge funds, and other financial institutions to help them make decisions about investments, pricing, and more. Quants use their math skills to predict what might happen in the future, and help their employers make the best decisions possible.
