Quartz watch

A quartz watch is a special kind of watch that tells time using a tiny piece of quartz crystal. The crystal is shaped like a tiny tuning fork and when electricity is sent through it, it vibrates really fast, about 32,768 times per second. This vibration is used to keep track of time. The watch has a small circuit board and a tiny battery inside that sends electricity to the crystal and makes it vibrate. The watch also has tiny gears and hands that move around to show the time.
