Queen bee

A queen bee is like the mommy bee in a hive. She's in charge of laying all the eggs which will hatch into new bees. She's a very important bee, kind of like the boss of the hive. She also puts out special pheromones (scent signals) that help the other bees know what they need to do to keep the hive running smoothly. Without her, the hive wouldn't be able to survive!
