ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Queue jump

A queue jump is when someone cuts in line in front of other people who have been waiting longer. It's like when you're waiting in line to get ice cream and someone comes running up and stands in front of you, even though you got there first. That's not fair, right?

Well, grownups have queues, too, like when we wait in line at the DMV or the grocery store. But sometimes, people try to skip ahead of others and get served faster, even though they didn't wait their turn. That's called a queue jump.

But just like when you're waiting for ice cream and someone tries to cut in front of you, it's important to speak up and tell the person that they need to go to the back of the line and wait their turn. It's not nice to skip in front of others who have been waiting patiently. So, always stand up for yourself and others and don't let queue jumpers get away with it!
