Airport security

Airport security is a system of people and machines that helps keep airports, planes, and passengers safe. People who work at airports use metal detectors and scanners to check that passengers going on planes do not have items that are not allowed or could cause harm. For example, passengers aren't allowed to bring any sharp objects like scissors or knives on planes. The machines also check passengers' bags or suitcases to make sure they don't have items like bombs or guns. Airport security is important to keep people safe and make sure no one on board has dangerous items.
