Racial democracy

"Racial democracy" is an idea that was popular in Brazil many years ago. It said that all people in Brazil were equal no matter their skin color. But this idea was not true. In Brazil, people with darker skin color often did not have the same opportunities as people with lighter skin. People with lighter skin were often in positions of power and had more money than people with darker skin.

So, even though it seemed like everyone was equal, in reality, some people had more advantages than others because of their skin color. This is not fair or right. People should be judged based on their character and actions, not on the color of their skin. It is important to treat everyone with respect and kindness, no matter who they are or what they look like.
