Radius of curvature (applications)

Radius of curvature is how curved something is. Think of a curved line, like a circle. The radius of curvature tells us how curved it is - it's the distance from the center of that curved line to any point along it. Applications of radius of curvature can be seen in many places. For example, roads and highways are designed with a certain radius of curvature so they are safe and comfortable to use. Bridges also need to have a certain radius of curvature, so they don't collapse under their own weight. It can also be used in physics to describe the curvature of space-time, which is important in understanding the behavior of objects in the universe.
