Rags to riches

So you know how sometimes people don't have a lot of money or nice things and they have to work really hard? Well, sometimes those people are able to work really hard and become very successful and rich. That's called "rags to riches" because they used to have rags (which means old and torn clothes that aren't nice) but then they became rich (which means they have a lot of money and nice things). It's kind of like when you plant a seed and it grows into a big plant, but with people and money instead of plants!
