Ranch sorting
Ranch sorting is like a game that cowboys and cowgirls play with cows. Imagine you're playing a game of tag with your friends, but instead of tagging people, you have to sort different colored balls into different baskets. Except in ranch sorting, you have to sort cows into different pens!
There are two people on horses trying to sort a group of cows that have different numbers on them. You and your partner have to work together to quickly separate the cows - one at a time - and put them in the right pens based on their numbers. Think of the numbers as the colored balls you were sorting earlier.
The cows are a little bit tricky, though. They don't always do what you want them to do, so you have to be really patient and calm. You also need to have really good communication with your partner, because they might see things that you don't and you have to work together to get the job done.
It might sound easy, but ranch sorting is actually really hard because you have to be good at riding a horse and working with animals. It takes a lot of practice to get really good at it, but it's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it!
