ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Random sequence

Have you ever played a game where you roll a dice and get a number from 1 to 6? That's like a random sequence! It's called "random" because you don't know what number will come up next - it's like a surprise.

A sequence is just a list of things in a certain order. So a random sequence is a list of things that come in a surprise order - you don't know what's going to come next!

For example, let's say we want to make a random sequence of colors. We could use a machine to randomly pick colors and put them in a line. The first color might be red, then blue, then yellow, then green, then orange - and we wouldn't know what was coming up next until it happened!

There are lots of things that use random sequences, like games, computer programs, and even some scientific experiments. It's like a fun way to mix things up and keep things interesting!
