Rangefinder

A rangefinder is a tool or device that helps you figure out how far away something is.

It's like trying to guess how many steps it takes to get from your front door to the sidewalk - sometimes you might be right, but other times it's hard to tell.

A rangefinder uses special technology to help you figure out the distance between you and something else. There are different kinds of rangefinders, but many use lasers to bounce a beam of light off the thing you want to measure the distance to.

The rangefinder then measures how long it takes for that beam of light to come back to the device, and uses some fancy math to calculate the distance.

So, with a rangefinder, you can know exactly how far away something is without having to guess or estimate. It's a really helpful tool for things like golf or hunting, but also for measuring distances in construction or engineering projects.
