ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Real world data

Real world data is information that comes from the world around us, like the things we see and hear every day. Just like you can look outside and see trees, cars, and people, real world data is all the information we can collect about those things.

For example, if we want to learn more about how many birds live in our neighborhood, we can go outside and count them. That information we gather is real world data. If we want to know how many people live in our town, we can ask the government to give us that information. That information is also real world data.

Real world data can come from lots of different sources, like people, animals, machines, and even the weather. Scientists and researchers use real world data to learn more about the world, and to make decisions that can help us live better lives.

So, whether we're counting birds, tracking how much it rains, or measuring how fast a car can go, real world data helps us understand the world around us!
