ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Record industry

The record industry is where people make music and then record it on CDs, cassettes, or other things so that other people can listen to it. They use special machines called studios to record the music and they have people who help make the music sound better by adding special effects or fixing mistakes. Once the music is recorded, they make copies of it and send it to different stores or put it online for people to buy or listen to. Sometimes they need people to help them sell the music or make it more popular, so they hire other people to help them with this. It's like making a really cool toy and then sharing it with your friends so they can play with it too!
