Reef burials

When someone dies, their body is usually either buried underground or burned into ashes. But some people choose to have their body put into a special kind of burial called a "reef burial."

Instead of being buried in the ground, the body is placed inside a special container called an "Eternal Reefs Reef Ball." This container is made out of special materials that are good for the environment and won't hurt any plants or animals in the ocean.

The container is then taken out to sea and placed on the ocean floor, where it becomes part of a new coral reef. Coral reefs are underwater structures made up of tiny living creatures, and they provide homes and food for many different kinds of fish and sea creatures.

So, by having a reef burial, someone's body becomes part of a brand new coral reef and helps provide homes for all kinds of sea creatures. It's a special way to remember and honor someone who has passed away while also helping the environment.
