Refractory

Refractory is a material that can resist very high temperatures. It's used in a lot of different ways, like for insulation in furnaces, for safety in places where there are hot liquids, and for making things like bricks and tiles. Refractory is made from special kinds of rocks and minerals that can stand up to a lot of heat without breaking down or melting. It's tough, so it can last a long time.
