Regeneration (theology)

Regeneration is a belief in some Christian denominations that through belief in Jesus, we can be made 'new' or given a new life. It is like a rebirth. This belief says that when we become a Christian, we become a new creation and our lives become different because we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. This makes us more able to do good things, because Jesus promises us that if we believe in Him, we will be forgiven and He will help us.
