ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Regular solution

So, a regular solution is like when two friends mix together perfectly! Imagine you have two different colored candies - one is red and one is blue. If you mix them together and they look like a purple candy, that's a regular solution.

But why does this happen? It's because the molecules (tiny little pieces) in the candies are able to mix together really well. Sometimes, when you mix two things together, they don't mix well and you can still see the individual parts. But in a regular solution, the molecules mix so well that you can't even see the separate parts anymore!

This happens with all sorts of things, not just candies. Scientists use regular solutions to study how different molecules interact with each other. Cool, huh?
