Reionization

Reionization is a process that happened in the early universe when the gas between galaxies was changed from being neutral (not charged) to being ionized (charged). This happened because of energetic particles coming from stars and quasars creating radiation that broke apart the neutral atoms. This process made the universe look the way it does now, with galaxies spread out and surrounded by hot, ionized gas.
