The bible gives important teachings that many black Americans find helpful and comforting. Other religions practiced by black Americans include various forms of Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and other African-based spiritual traditions. Most black Americans find religious beliefs to be an important part of their identity and they take pride in their religious practices.
