ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Religious naturalism

Religious naturalism is a way of thinking about religion that starts with the idea that the only things that really exist in the universe are natural things. This means that natural things like plants, animals, rocks, and stars are the only things that are real, and that supernatural things like gods or angels do not exist. Instead of looking to supernatural things for guidance, religious naturalism looks to the natural world for help understanding our lives. To a religious naturalist, nature is holy and should be respected, and we should try to live in harmony with nature and help others do the same.
