Religious views of Isaac Newton

Well, Isaac Newton was a very smart man who lived a long time ago. He was famous for discovering lots of things like gravity and figuring out how the planets move.

Now, when it comes to religion, Newton had some interesting beliefs. He believed in God and was a Christian, but he had some different ideas than other Christians at the time.

Newton believed that the Bible was true, but he also believed that there were some parts that were not meant to be taken literally. He thought that some stories in the Bible were just meant to teach people a lesson, instead of being exactly true.

Newton also believed that God created the universe and set it in motion, but then let it run on its own. In other words, he didn't think that God was constantly intervening in the world or performing miracles all the time.

Overall, Newton's views on religion were quite complex and sometimes controversial. But he was a brilliant thinker and his ideas have had a big impact on our understanding of the world.
