Remanence

Remanence is like a super strong memory that some things have. Remember when we played with magnets? If you move a magnet close to another metal thing, the metal thing might get a little bit of magnetism in it. That means it will also act like a magnet for a while, even if you take the magnet away. This is called remanence.

So, let's say we have a toy car that's made of metal. It can also get remanence if you put it near a magnet. If you do that, the car will act like a little magnet too, even after you take it away from the real magnet. That means if you bring it near another metal thing, it might stick to it a bit - just like a magnet would.

Remanence is useful for things like making magnets or storing information. Some computer parts use remanence to keep track of things even if the power is off - just like when we play with magnets and the metal keeps the magnetism even after we stop playing. It's like having a super power that some things can have!
