ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Remedial education

Remedial education is when students go back and re-learn things that they should have learned before. It might happen if you switch schools, or if you got a bad grade in a subject. Remedial education is like when you get stuck on a level of a video game and you have to replay the same level until you get it right. It's like a 'do-over' for when you learn something and need another chance to understand and remember it better.
