ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Resident registration

Resident registration is like getting a special ID card that says where you live. It helps the government keep track of who lives in different areas.

When you move to a new place, you have to tell the government where you live within a certain amount of time. They will give you a special form to fill out with your name, address, and some other information. You will also need to bring some other documents to prove that you really live there, like a lease or a utility bill.

Once you fill out the form and show your documents, the government will give you a special ID card that says you live in that area. This card is very important because you will need it for things like getting a job, going to school, and even voting!

So, resident registration is kind of like telling the government where you live and getting a special ID card to prove it. It helps the government know who lives in different areas and it helps you do important things in your everyday life.
