Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive

Restriction of hazardous substances directive, or RoHS, is a rule that protects people and the environment from being exposed to dangerous chemicals. It tries to make sure that products that are sold in the European Union don't contain certain types of chemicals. These chemicals can be harmful to people's health and to the environment, so RoHS tries to keep them out of the products we buy.
