Retro-futurism

Retro-futurism is when people look back at old things from long ago, like the way people in the past thought the future would be like, and then try to make them work with modern technologies.

Think of it like when your parents showed you old movies or TV shows from when they were kids, and they talked about how the future was going to look like with flying cars, robots doing all the housework, and teleportation. Retro-futurism is like taking all those cool ideas and imagining how they would work with our technology today.

People might create artwork, fashion or even movies that looks like it's from a long time ago but has modern things like computers, smartphones, and the internet in them.

Basically, retro-futurism is a way of looking back at the future as it was imagined in the past and trying to bring it into the present, sort of like a time machine.
