Atomic Age

The atomic age is a period of history after World War II when scientists started to learn how to use energy from atoms, the tiny particles that make up all living things. This meant that scientists were able to create a lot of new energy sources like nuclear power plants, which create electricity using the energy from atoms, and nuclear weapons, which use the same energy to create huge explosions.
