ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Revelation 17

Revelation 17 is a book in the Bible that tells a story about a woman who is dressed in fancy clothes and sits on a big, scary creature with seven heads and ten horns. The creature is called a beast, and it is not very nice. The woman's fancy clothes represent a city called Babylon, which is an old city from a long time ago.

The story says that the woman is a bad person because she has done a lot of bad things, like hurting people and being greedy. The beast she rides on represents a lot of power and control, and the woman thinks she can use the beast to do whatever she wants.

But then something happens. A good angel comes and tells the story's author, John, that the beast will eventually turn against the woman and destroy her. This means that even though the woman thinks she is in charge, it will all come crashing down and she will be punished for her bad actions.

The story can be hard to understand at times, but it's important to remember that it tells a story about making good choices and the consequences of bad ones. It's a reminder to always try to be kind to others and do the right thing.
