Revisionism (fictional)

Revisionism is when someone changes things that have already happened in a story or a history book. Imagine you drew a picture of a cat with brown fur but then decided you wanted to change its fur to be gray instead. That's a bit like revisionism.

Now, imagine someone took a story about a little girl who went to a party and made a version where the girl didn't go to the party but instead went on a trip to the moon. That's a bigger example of revisionism, because they are changing lots of things that happened in the original story.

In real life, revisionism is something that some people do when they want to change what we know about history. For example, if someone wanted to change what we know about a famous event, like a war, then they might change the facts about what happened or say that things didn't really happen the way we thought they did. This is not encouraged as it can lead to confusion and misinformation.
