Rhetorical devices are like tools! They help us say things in a more interesting way. For example, if I wanted to talk about feeling sleepy, I could say "I'm feeling so tired" or I could say "I'm completely exhausted". Both mean the same thing, but the second one uses a rhetorical device called exaggeration to make it sound more exciting. Rhetorical devices can make things sound more persuasive, or just more fun to listen to.
