Figure of speech

Figure of speech is when you say something in an interesting way that makes it different from how we usually talk. It's like using special words or phrases in a way that is not normal, usually to make a point more interesting or meaningful. For example, if you said "I'm starving," it could mean you're really hungry. But if you say "I'm famished" instead of "starving" it makes it sound more dramatic or impressive.
