Idiom

An idiom is a phrase or saying that is commonly used in everyday conversations. It is used to express something in a different way that might not make sense if you were to look at the words used in the phrase or saying alone. For example, if someone says "it's raining cats and dogs", they don't actually mean that cats and dogs are falling from the sky! They mean that it is raining very heavily.
