ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Riderless horse

So, you know how sometimes you ride a horsie and they take you around for a fun ride? Well, imagine if the horsie was by itself without anyone riding on its back. This is called a "riderless horse"! Sometimes people do this on purpose for special events or ceremonies. It's like the horsie is walking all on its own, but really there are special ropes and tools attached to its reins to guide it and make sure it doesn't get hurt. It's kind of like when you hold onto a rope to help you walk straight on a balance beam. The horsie is very brave and smart to walk all by itself like that, isn't it?
