ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Risk-aware consensual kink

Risk-aware consensual kink (RACK) is a way of making sure that everyone involved in a kinky or BDSM activity is safe and enjoying themselves. Before doing any activities, everyone agrees on what activities they want to do and what their boundaries are. Everyone involved in the activity should be aware of the risks that come with it, like physical or emotional injury, so that they can take extra steps to minimize the risks. This can include having the right supplies, taking extra safety precautions, and being aware of signs that someone may not be having a good time. If someone isn't having a good time or doesn't feel safe, then the activity should be stopped. It's important to communicate, talk about your boundaries, and make sure that everyone is having a good time before, during, and after.
