Rock Paper Scissors is a game where two people try to guess what the other person will choose. Each person chooses either rock, paper, or scissors, and then whoever chose what the other person didn't wins.
Rock beats scissors because, if you were to use your hand to compare a rock and a pair of scissors, the rock would be bigger and heavier than the scissors and knock them down.
Paper beats rock because paper is softer and smoother than rock, so it can cover the rock up.
Scissors beat paper because if you use a pair of scissors to cut paper, the scissors will be able to cut the paper.
So if you choose rock and the other person chooses paper, you lose. Or if you choose scissors and the other person chooses rock, you lose. But if you both choose the same thing, nobody wins.
