Roman Britain

Roman Britain was a long time ago when the Romans came and took over Britain. They did this a really long time ago when dinosaurs were not around anymore. When the Romans came, they started building big cities and roads and made everything really fancy. They also built big walls to protect themselves from bad guys. The Romans were really good at fighting and they had really cool weapons too.

The Romans also brought with them new things like their own language, art, and music. They really liked to do things in a very organized way. They used coins to trade things and everyone had to use the same types of money. They also had really cool baths where people could relax and take a break from their hard work.

The Roman Empire was really big at that time and they had lots of soldiers. They sent some of their soldiers to Britain to help keep everything safe. The Romans stayed in Britain for about 400 years and then they left because they had to go back to their own country to protect it.

Even though the Romans left, they left behind many things that are still around today. We can see old Roman buildings and ruins that are still standing today. We can also see where they built their roads and we still use some of those roads today. So, Roman Britain was a time long ago when the Romans came to Britain and made it a really cool place to live.
