Romanization of Russian

When people from different countries talk to each other, they may not know each other's languages. So, they use a method called romanization to write one language using letters from another language that they know better. This helps them understand each other's writing.

In the case of Romanization of Russian, people use Latin alphabets (like they use in English) to represent the letters and sounds of Russian. This is because not everyone knows the Russian alphabet which uses different letters than English language. Romanization is a way to make Russian words understandable to people who do not know Russian letters.

For example, the Russian word "привет" sounds like "privet" in English. To write this in Romanization, we use Latin letters that correspond to the Russian letters. In this case, "п" becomes "p", "р" becomes "r", "и" becomes "i", "в" becomes "v", "е" becomes "e", and "т" becomes "t". So, "привет" in Romanization becomes "privet".

Using Romanization can be helpful for people who don't know the Russian alphabet to learn and communicate in Russian.
