Royal School of Needlework

The Royal School of Needlework is a special school where people learn how to make fancy designs using a special kind of sewing called embroidery. You know how when you make a drawing, you use different colors of crayons or markers to make something pretty? Well, with embroidery, instead of using crayons, you use threads of different colors to make designs on fabric, kind of like a painting.

The people who go to this school learn how to use these threads to make really beautiful patterns and pictures on things like dresses, hats, and even furniture! They also learn about different kinds of stitching, which is like sewing but in cool patterns that make it look fancy.

This school has been around for a long time, since the year 1872! It became "royal" because the queen of England said it was super good and gave it a special title. Even now, people travel from all over the world to attend the school and learn how to make pretty designs with needle and thread.
