Rugby football is a sport where two teams try to score points by getting a ball over their opponents' goal line. The ball is an oval shape and the players can either run with it or kick it.
Each team has 15 players on the field at a time and the game is divided into two halves. The players wear special clothes to protect themselves, such as helmets and padding for their shoulders.
When one team scores a try by getting the ball over the opponent's goal line, they earn five points. They can also earn additional points by kicking the ball through the goal posts.
Players must pass the ball backwards to their teammates or run with it themselves. If they pass the ball forwards, it's a penalty.
The game can be very physical, with players tackling each other to stop them from scoring. However, the tackles must be below the shoulders and above the knees to keep everyone safe.
At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins!
