Russian entry into World War I

Russia was part of a group of countries in World War 1. They were all fighting against another group of countries. Russia wanted to help the group they were with and they decided to join the war. This meant they sent their army to fight against the other group of countries that was fighting against them. Even though they had a big army, they weren't very successful in the war and eventually had to leave.
