SISAL

Sisal is a plant that grows in warm climates, like Africa and South America. It has long green leaves and a thick brown stem. People harvest sisal by cutting the leaves off the stem. The leaves are then dried and processed to make a strong fiber. This fiber is used to make rope, carpets, and mats. It is also used for making paper, packaging, and lots of other things.
