SMTP

SMTP is like sending a letter through the internet. Just like you put an address on an envelope, you put an email address in the "To" field. Just like you write the letter, you write the message in the body of the email. And just like you need a stamp to send a letter, you need an SMTP server to send an email. The SMTP server is like a post office - it makes sure the email gets sent to the right place. So when you hit "send" on your email, the SMTP server takes over and sends the email to the recipient's email server. It's like magic!
