Salted duck egg

Okay, so you know how we eat chicken eggs for breakfast sometimes? Well, there's another kind of egg that some people like to eat too, and it's called a duck egg. But not just any duck egg, a salted duck egg!

Basically, a salted duck egg is a duck egg that's been soaked in salty water or brine for a few weeks. That salty water seeps through the eggshell and makes the inside of the egg all salty too. Then, they usually cook it by boiling or steaming it, and sometimes they take off the shell and eat it with rice or other foods.

Some people really like the taste of salted duck eggs because they're salty and savoury, almost like a strong cheese. They might use them in recipes like fried rice, dumplings, or even in desserts. But some people don't like them because they can be a bit strong and sometimes even a little smelly.

So there you have it, a salted duck egg is basically a duck egg that's soaked in salty water and then cooked or eaten with other foods. It's a little different than a regular ol' chicken egg, but some people really love it!
