Sampati
Okay kiddo, have you heard of the story of Ramayana? Sampati is a character in that story.
Sampati was a very wise and powerful bird. He was the elder brother of Jatayu, another bird in the story. But there was a problem. Sampati’s wings had been burnt and he could no longer fly.
One day, Jatayu saw Sita, the wife of Lord Rama, being kidnapped by the evil king Ravana. Jatayu tried to save Sita but Ravana cut his wings. As Jatayu was lying there, struggling to breathe, Sampati came to his rescue.
Sampati could not fly but he had sharp eyesight. He saw Ravana flying away with Sita and he told Jatayu how far he had gone. With this information, Jatayu informed Lord Rama and together they were able to rescue Sita from Ravana’s clutches.
So you see kiddo, Sampati was very important in the story of Ramayana because he used his wisdom and observation skills to help Jatayu and Lord Rama save Sita.
